Carried out during the last two months of the pandemic year 2020.

The process of the work lasted until 185 hours of work due to the number of nuances of the skin, the tattoos and the Maneki-neko, a Chinese cat that with the mechanical and repetitive movement from top to bottom of its paw tries to attract the prosperity after observing all the fears that this pandemic produced in society.

The outstretched arm of Gigi my partner with the star tattoos as I remember all those people who lost their lives due to the disease and the flowers of Ceibo, the national tree of Uruguay (my muse's birthplace).

These flowers try to represent a new stage, a rebirth and the gesture of the outstretched arm offering the prosperity that is so much needed for the new year.

The work was made for the Christmas 2020 collective exhibition and that was delayed, and finally canceled due to the restrictions of Covid 19.
